Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalgias

Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalgias (TACs) can leave you feeling hopeless and discouraged. TACs are a diverse set of indications with the most prevalent being cluster headaches. Which, due to the intense ongoing pain associated with them, are colloquially know as suicide headaches. they are characterised by severe, unilateral headache associated with cranial autonomic features, such as tearing and eye drooping, which is present on the same side as the headache. Due to the diseases complexities patients are poorly treated and can go without any relief for years.

Even after the effort it took to get help, it can be demoralizing when you’re just not getting better. If your cluster headache treatment isn’t working, don’t give up.

Many people can get cluster headaches and other TACs under control. You and your doctor just need to find the right approach.

Migraine

Migraines are not just headaches; they are a complex neurological condition that can profoundly impact your life. Characterized by intense, throbbing pain often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound, migraines can render you unable to function normally. Living with migraines can be a journey of frustration and despair, especially when treatments fail to provide relief.

It’s disheartening when, after countless doctor visits and treatments, you still find yourself battling the debilitating effects of migraines. However, it’s important to remain hopeful.

Many individuals have successfully managed their migraines through a combination of lifestyle adjustments, medication, and other therapies. Finding the right treatment strategy can be challenging, but with persistence and a strong partnership with your healthcare provider, it is possible to reduce the frequency and severity of attacks. Don’t lose hope; a better understanding of your triggers and symptoms can lead to more effective management of your condition.
